Dress with Intention
When I get up in the morning, I choose my clothes with care and begin mental preparation for the day ahead. This simple task helps me to dress with intention. It’s making an important distinction- I’m choosing to put myself in the frame of mind to be purposeful. Ready to focus, accomplish my daily work and activities.
Putting your best foot forward starts with putting effort into your attire. It is not about dressing to impress others or seek attention. It’s about feeling comfortable and confident in yourself- dressed for success with dignity.
Present yourself as you wish to be seen
The old saying: ‘Clothes make the man or woman’ is accurate. By dressing with intention, you are saying , “I value me and I expect others to as well.” You present yourself to the world as you wish to be seen.

Have you ever seen a man wearing a a suit, tie and well-polished shoes? It is not the individual items, but the sum of all which captures glances from folks. It is his stature, how he feels or how he carries himself in the suit that is striking. More often than not, that same man is equally comfortable in a simple t-shirt, well-pressed trousers and again, well-polished shoes. He dresses with intention and it is natural.
It’s the same for a woman. She is wearing a gorgeous dress. Her under-garments form the foundation for the dress, her well-cared for shoes, and carefully chosen accessories provide the finish. Watch how this woman carries herself; with confidence and ease. Heads will turn in appreciation of her effort. A beautiful dress that compliments her figure, rather than revealing all of the body beneath it, is the epitome of elegance and dressing with intention. It is a natural part of her and she dresses only for herself.
Casual does not equal unkempt

Dressing casual does not mean unkempt, or sloppy-ever. The unfortunate adoption of donning pajama pants, sweats or see-through leggings and slippers to run errands does not signal ready for anything other than lounging around or bedtime. Not for the world outside, keep them for the gym or bedroom.
Choose to dress your self with dignity and dress with intention. Do it for you. Dress for success- your daily success.
